Rajasthan is going to be the first state in India to have a high-speed-train-trial-track. Questions were being raised right after the first engines-less train “Train-18” that whether the Indian rail tracks are good enough for the trial of such high speed trains or not? Following this, Indian Railways has decided to have separate tracks for testing these special trains.
As per the proposed plan, special tracks will be laid with an estimated budget of 400 crore rupees from Jaipur to Phulera which is a distance of 40 km. for testing the speed of these engine-less trains. With this project, India will enter the league of countries like Germany, USA, China and Australia to have tracks dedicated for train trials.
