A grandfather abandoned his 8 year old granddaughter after the death of her parents. Mavli police found this 8 year old innocent girl at the railway station. The little girl hails from Uttar Pradesh. She was handed over to Child Welfare Committee.

KB Gupta of Child Welfare Committee said that statements of this innocent girl were heart wrenching. She told CWC that her parents are no more. The family now comprises of grandfather and three sisters. Grandfather behaves very badly and even hits the children.

Four days back, her grandfather took her to Aligarh and then to Delhi. In Delhi he left her in a train and instructed her never to return. He went away from there leaving her all by herself. The girl reached Mavli in train and was discovered by police. CWC members have sent the little girl to Girl shelter home.
