The Police Chowki in the Mohan Lal Sukhadia University premises is running out of an Incharge and sufficient police staff.  As the student union elections are approaching fast, it is a big cause for concern.

In the absence of an incharge there is nobody to take the lead for any casualties or incidents.  At present the chowki is having only two police constables.  If any mishap takes place, the police team has to be called from the Pratapnagar police station.

Another issue is regarding the police cabin at the University Gate, which is closed since the last one year.  The fence of the cabin has become a parking lot for private vehicles.

This cabin was installed to keep a check on various activities around and inside the University gate as well as premises.  As a result of the absence of policemen at the cabin, the auto rickshaws are seen parking and stopping in front of the University gate.  This causes inconvenience to the students and also invites casualties.

“I have joined yesterday only at the Pratap Nagar police station. This issue will be reported to the higher police authorities and staff will be appointed before the elections. Police cabin at the University gate will soon be taken care and command of”, said CI Laduram, SHO, Pratapnagar.

The reason to be surprised is also that neither the University officials nor the student leaders are even bothered about such an issue of utmost gravity.
