Non teaching staff of MLSU who got retired in the year 1990 did not receive their pension for last three months. However as per the claim, there is no order given by government administration or court to discontinue the pension.

Dr. B.P Bhatnagar, president of MLSU Pensioner’s Society informed that around 493 people are yet to get their pension but MLSU stopped the pension amount without giving any prior notice or information saying that they have orders from upper level.

Around 50-60 pensioners protested outside Vice Chancellor’s office and demanded to get their pension.

According to VC, Prof. I.V Trivedi, “The University administration was directed from higher officials and a matter of pending pension is reported to higher official.” Prof. Trivedi said that he expects to get response in a day.

Dr. P.C Malu, member of action committee informed, “The pension of Agriculture colleges of Udaipur and Ajmer was stopped and a case was filed in high court and later in Supreme Court but the decision came in favour of college, hence the pension was stopped.”

“The regulations of MLSU are totally different from the agriculture college and till October 2013 we received our pensions, but from last three months, the university stopped it” said Dr. Malu.

The action committee of Pension’s Society has decided to start their protest from 29th Jan outside Vice Chancellor’s office.
