The nation-wide effect of the horrified and inhuman incident of Delhi Gang Rape is persisting in every State and city of the country, as common citizens are enraged with the incident of rape and also with the government’s reaction with people who were protesting against the tragedy and demanding death sentence for rape accused.

Today several social, religious and educational organizations laid protest march in Udaipur and condemned police action against protestors in Delhi.

Students of Guru Nanak P. G. College set a rally across the city and expressed their remonstration against government system and social inequality and insecurity faced by an Indian woman. Students gathered outside collector’s office and presented a memorandum in the name of The President of India; students asked for justice to the rape victim and appealed government to take strict action against the accused.

Activists of Muslim Maha Sabha also visited Mohammad Yaseen Pathan and presented a letter. “It is extremely disgraceful and heinous felony, all the accused should be given death sentence”, said, Iliyas Multani, President of Muslim Maha Sabha.

The activists also said that where government is struggling hard to stop the evil practice of female feticide, the growing number of rape cases is making the situation more worrisome.

Later in the evening students of Law College, MLSU held a candle march starting from University Gate to Bohra Ganeshji Chouraha. In the march led by University student union’s president Pankaj Borana, students made human chain at chouraha and demanded immediate action against the rape accused.
