Demanding license to all street vendors and hawkers of the city, the union of traders have decided to protest outside Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC)on 7^th July.

Union’s chief secretary and local corporator Rajesh Singhvi informed, “There is a provision of licensing all street hawkers and roadside vendors by making ‘Town Vending Zone’ but nothing has been done yet.”

Singhvi said that police is still harassing these vendors and threatening them to remove them but as per the law, it is prohibited to remove any hawker in the name of encroachment, obstacle and spoiling beauty of the city.

Singhvi also informed that the vendors are annoyed by not receiving license yet, hence they decided to protest outside UMC.
