Students talking to Vice Chancellor MLSU Prof I.V Trivedi

Students of MA, Department of Geography, University College of Social Sciences and Humanities approached the Vice-Chancellor today complaining against HOD of Geography, for irregularities.

The students alleged HOD, Dr. Ishaq. M. Kayamkhani of inappropriate work in the department and also of improper behavior with students.

According to the students, they are suffering due to shortage of proper practical equipments and software related to GIS (Geographical Information System) in the lab and no action has been taken by the HOD.

Vice-Chancellor I. V. Trivedi held a meeting today at 12 pm at the Dean office, UCSSH and talked about the issue.

I. V. Trivedi said, “This is an issue relating to the academics and will be dealt seriously. It is good, if a student has come forward, to have a face-to-face conversation with authorities. All the irregularities will be resolved soon”.

Professor Kayamkhani told UT “I have no authority to speak or issue any statement on behalf of the University. In the meeting we were asked to resolve the matter soon.”
