The constant breakage and re-construction of the choraha at Surajpole has agitated the public to a great extent. The work has prolonged under the smart city project. Public is agitated as the heritage look got disturbed. In the name of beautification, traffic is getting disturbed and the process hasn’t ended since a long time.

As per the public representatives, the choraha doesn’t need to be beautified just every now and then. In the name of development, the old granite stone was removed whereas it was not required. The old look was much loved as it brought back the memories of ancient Udaipur.
