This New Year, Let’s find the HERO within us
New Year Party is over! Now what? Again the same routine, work, studies and so on. Life didn’t change, it’s the time running fast and trying to teach us the meaning of life, some take it serious while others are least bothered about it. Whatever the situation, but the last 365 days has certainly changed many things in the country.
New Year Party is over! Now what? Again the same routine, work, studies and so on. Life didn’t change, it’s the time running fast and trying to teach us the meaning of life, some take it serious while others are least bothered about it. Whatever the situation, but the last 365 days has certainly changed many things in the country.
Our age-old socio-political situation was hit by a wave of revolution led by candle-holding youth. Value of freedom and expression was realized by the 1 Billion ‘virtually’ independent people, perhaps the souls are still slaves of number of social bigotries.
The 2012 is the year when India saw common middle-class man coming out on street, something which was frequent in pre-independence era. However, still the action solely cannot define intention and not everyone can think same. Some partied hard last night, while others mourned the death of Delhi gang-rape victim.
It is obvious that we all cannot think same, although it is possible for us to at least feel same. Feeling of pain, feeling of breeze, feeling of sunlight, feeling of joy and sadness etc. Feeling is a simple characteristic we all have and all we need to assemble is our common feeling and bundle it to one giant ball to roll all over the country.
Candle marches, protests and chanting anti-government slogans are literally useless, if we ALL cannot feel same, our feelings are actually overpowered by our attitude, and the hypocrisy we all have has crushed our souls, this chain ended somewhere in 1947 when India became an independent country.
Since then we have faced tones of leaders, almost all of them impacted our lives with good and bad, but no one succeeded in becoming our HERO.
Regardless of devoting our lives to cricket and getting flanked with fake charisma of anyone who takes money to dance, kiss and strip and entertain us for 3 hours, we need a HERO within us, because that’s the only missing element in our over populated country full of leaders.
Like 2012, this 2013 will also end and we will continue to party, goons will continue to rape and leaders will continue to suck our blood. Candles also won’t shed real light till we start feeling same, so let’s move our steps ahead, so we should not bend our heads in shame in front of the coming generation, who might rightly call us, Fools of Fake Paradise.
Wish you Happy New Year!
