National Testing Agency has released the notification for the students belonging to Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category. Students who come under the EWS category and contain valid certificate granted by the competent authority will have to mention such category in the online application form of JEE Main 2019.
Candidates appearing for the JEE Main April 2019 examination may mention EWS category in the form available from March 11 to 15, 2019. Applicants are not required to upload EWS certificate in the JEE Main portal, but they are required at the time of filling JEE Advanced 2019 application form.
“As per the OM No. 20013/01/2018-BC-II dated January 17, 2019 issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the OM No. 12-4/2019-U1 dated 17.01.2019 as well as the Letters No 35-2/2019-T.S.I dated 21.01.2019, 01.02.2019, 04.02.2019 and 15.02.2019 of MHRD Department of Higher Education regarding implementation of reservation for EWSs for admission in Central Educational Institutions, it is necessary to identify the candidates belonging to EWS category from amongst the candidates of JEE (Main) January and JEE (Main) April 2019,” states the official statement.
All the students who cleared the JEE Main and JEE Advanced papers successfully will easily get admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) courses at Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) across India.
Steps to Check Public Notice for EWS Category Candidates
This important notice released belongs to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category students. They provide application form by the National Testing Agency (NTA) so that candidates can mention their category. To check the public notice on the website students need to follow the below steps which are:
- Open the official website of JEE Main 2019.
- Click on the “Public Notice EWS” which is mentioned on the left side of the page.
- After clicking, students will be directed to a PDF file.
Students are advised to download the PDF and take the printout of it and go through the same carefully. They are encouraged to keep visiting the JEE Main official website for more updates.
JEE Main 2019
The registration for JEE Main 2019 is already over. The aspiring candidates must have enrolled themselves. For the April session, the examination is scheduled to be held from April 7, 2019, to April 20, 2019. The exam is conducted through computer-based mode.
