A healthy body is the abode of a healthy mind. Keeping it in view a fruit and vegetable party was held at Kidzee Ambamata today. It was a way to introduce different fruits and vegetables to the tiny tots.

A healthy body is the abode of a healthy mind. Keeping it in view a fruit and vegetable party was held at Kidzee Ambamata today. It was a way to introduce different fruits and vegetables to the tiny tots.

The teachers showed different types of fruits and vegetables to the students and told them how one can be healthy and strong by consuming them.

A nutrition talk was also given by Nutritionist to make the children aware about balanced diet. Children brought healthy fruits & vegetables in their Tiffin. The day began with a serve of fresh fruit chat, followed by vegetable sandwiches. A lemonade party was also held in the school to curb children’s liking for colas and concentrated drinks.

Speaking on the theme party Director Dr. Atul Sharma said “Incorporating fruit and vegetables into fun activities will help young children associate them in a positive way and make it a lot easier when getting them to eat!”

Many different games were played which reviewed what kids know about fruits and vegetable. The games used children’s knowledge of colors, math, and basic information about fruits and vegetables.

Children underlined the importance of fruits and vegetables by making and putting up catchy pictures.To drive home the point, they dressed beautifully as fruits and vegetables.

They came in costumes of apples, mangoes, bananas, strawberries, oranges and pineapples and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Some of the children also came dressed as capsicum, chilly, carrot and lady finger among others.

Children and teachers were encouraged to follow a vegetarian diet with lots of fruits. Children were exhorted to eat healthy food and steer clear of junk food. The main motive of the party was to inculcate healthy eating habits among the tiny tots.

They also sang songs and rhymes on fruits and vegetables. Teachers made interesting stories to motivate kids to include green vegetables and fruits in their diet. Teachers used delightful ways of making kids understand the importance of having fruits and vegetables, weaving stories around them. They said that the fruits and vegetables would cry if the kids did not have them.

To wrap up the event ramp walk show was exhibited by kids in fruits and vegetables attire which was applauded by one all.
