Rockwoods High School marked its Annual Day with a magnificent cultural evening yesterday on 27
th April. The various events were presented by students of class Nursery to Ninth grade. The program was dedicated to women who contributed in the social, cultural and economical development of India. Colonel I.S Sahdeva, Commanding Officer NCC attended the event as the Chief Guest. Alka Sharma, founder and Director of the school, alongwith Deepak Sharma, Managing Director of the school, Geeta Nair, Principal, teachers and parents of the students were also present. The principal informed that the program was to honor all great women of India, right from Rani Padmani to Indira Gandhi.
With number of different colorful musical and dance performances by pupils, the center of the attraction was Tiranga Aanjala, a ballet performance by hundreds of students on stage together. Thereafter, the school Principal presented the annual report. Selected students for their exceptional academic and curricular performances were awarded by the guests. The school was founded on 18
th April 2011 at Udaipur’s suburban area of Chitrakoot Nagar. Rockwoods is one of the first few schools of the city who introduced smart class system and are regularly adopting new educational advancements.
