June 21st is observed as International Yoga Day worldwide. Unhealthy eating habits and hectic daily schedules are causing people to becoming victims of various diseases like obesity, diabetes, blood pressure, stress, etc. With the growing rate of depression in the generation, Yoga is one of the routine exercises that are beneficial mentally, physically and spiritually.
Maintaining a healthy life by practising yoga everyday is possible and this was elaborated to students and teachers on Yoga day.
Supporting this idea of fitness, Seedling Modern Public School celebrated 4th International Yoga Day with vigour and energy. Students from I-XII performed various stretching and deep breathing exercises namely Vajrasana , Anulom – Vilom, Kapal Bhanti, Sukasana, Tadasana and Padmasana.
Director Hardeep Bakshi enlightened the students by highlighting the importance of yoga and motivated everyone to make it a part of their daily life.
