Diwali was celebrated with much pomp and glory at SMPS.
With the advent of Diwali an explosion of joy, of love, of bonds of family friendship takes place. The same was evident by the plethora of activities which – took place at various class levels. An enlightening and stimulating Dance–Drama “Ramayana” was staged by the students of grade IV followed by a talk on importance of Diwali.
Spectators marveled at such an exposure of Indian Epic. The students of grade III conveyed the message to the audience through their Nukkad Natak to have a safe Diwali. The students of grade V conveyed a special message to the masses through their song to avoid foreign goods and celebrate Diwali in traditional way by lighting Diyas.
The students of grade I-III showed their tremendous talent by taking part in Candle, Puja Thali and Diya Decoration Competition. Class Corner was beautifully decorated by the students of grade V to VIII. In the end, the Director of the school Hardeep Bakshi conveyed his greetings to the students and told them to have a happy and a safe Diwali.
