Both girls and boys who marry as children experience mental, emotional, and physical problems. Girls are typically the ones who are more physically impacted, and there is a significant chance that sexually transmitted diseases may spread. Rallies were held, and more than one lakh people from 550 grams panchayat in six districts of Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, took an oath to refrain from child marriage. The initiative was coordinated by Hindustan Zinc with assistance from Vidya Bhavan, NDS, Seva Mandir, The Football Link, Japan, and the GSVS Manjari Foundation.
