-Do not share CVV, ATM pin, UPI pin, OTP or your card numbers with anyone.

SBI has issued alerts for its customers regarding online fraud. The bank has requested people not to fall prey to any phishing as the bank has not issued any messages for its customers.

The bank clarified that fraudsters are duping people in the name of SBI on social media platforms. The bank is alerting the customers to stay extremely alert and not be tempted by any fraud calls. It also clarified that a fake site has been created in its name and is being used by fraudsters to rob the customers.

SBI has appealed and alerted that the people must not share their credit or debit card numbers, OTP, CVV, UPI pin or ATM pin to anyone at all. No bank asks for such information from their consumers. As per reports, the fake website under the banner of SBI was busted and brought down after they received several customer complaints after the customers received URL in the bank’s name asking people to update their account related information and passwords.

The bank has also stated that the customers can get their account information by giving a missed call on the toll free number 9223766666 or by sending message on this number by typing ‘BAL’ as the body of the text from the registered mobile number only.
