In a shocking incident in a bank in Kherwara region, a man stole 5 lakh rupees from the cash counter. The fact that cash is missing was discovered during cash counting in the evening hours.

SBI Bank in Kherwara has CCTV cameras inside the bank, but no cameras are installed outside the premises. As per the footage available from inside the bank, an unidentified man stayed in the bank for around an hour and a half and escaped with 5 lakh rupees.

Routine work was going on in SBI bank around 12:30 p.m. when a man entered the bank and kept moving around inside for around 1 and a half hour. He somehow stole the opportunity of getting near the cash counter machine, took 5 lakh rupees and kept the cash in a bag and made himself comfortable on the visitor’s chair once again. Then he got the chance to escape and with him were gone 5 lakh rupees.

Reportedly bank employees tried to hide this fact when they discovered that amount was missing in the evening hours. The information was later circulated and reached the higher officers of the bank. Police were informed who checked the CCTV footage.

The man conveniently escaped and since there is no camera outside the bank, his direction of escape could not be known. As per information, 1 crore 36 lakh rupees were kept behind the cash counter with the purpose of filling the ATM. A bundle of 5 lakh rupees was taken from this amount. It was the negligence of bank employees that the man reached behind the cash counter since there are number of tables of bank employees on the way to the counter.
