Udaipur ATS team managed to nab the mastermind of Bhanwri murder case Indra Bishnoi from Dewas yesterday. CBI had been on a look out for Indra Bishnoi for last 6 years and Indra even had a Rs 5 Lakh prize on her head.

Udaipur ATS team received a tip off about Indra some two months back that she was in Dewas. Post that a team comprising ADG Umesh Mishra, IG Biju George and ASP Shantanu Kumar started searching for her in the region.

ADG Mishra said that difficulty of recognising her from her picture of six years back and due to her living a low profile life, it had become extremely difficult to trace her. However, a month back, IG Biju against received a clue about Indra being in Dewas only. The police team then intensified their search operation and finally succeeded in nabbing her yesterday.

The Bhanwari Devi case

ANM Bhanwari Devi had relations with Indra Bishnoi’s brother and ex-legislator Malkhan Singh. A CD of Congress Minister Mahipal Maderna with Bhanwari Devi had created huge mayhem. Bhanwari was asking Malkhan for her share of wealth. To get rid of Bhanwari, Indra along with her relatives kidnapped her and she was then murdered. CBI was on a lookout for Indra and she could reveal involvement of a lot of big names in the case. Indra then suddenly disappeared in 2011.
