Acting under the rights given per his role as Election Officer, Udaipur District Collector Ashutosh Pednekar yesterday assigned a non-field position to the in-charge of Goverdhan Vilas Police Station.
This was done after reports of the Police Officer greeting a local Politician on Saturday was confirmed. A local newspaper reported the incident, and as such behavior is a breach of the Election Code of Conduct, Badri Lal, In-Charge of Goverdhan Vilas Police Station was demoted to a non-field position.
