Rate of Dearness Allowance payable to its employees has been revised from 38% to 42% by the State government, drawing pay in the Rajasthan Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules 2017, under Finance Department Order of even number dated 28-09-2022. The revised allowance will come in effect from 01-01-2023. 

In order to calculate the Dearness Allowance, the term ‘Pay’ only refers to the Basic Pay, such as the pay shown in the Pay Matrix at the required levels. It does not include any other forms of pay, such as Personal Pay or Special Pay. Payments for Dearness Allowance that involve fractions of 50 Paisa or more may be rounded up to the next higher rupee, while fractions of 50 Paisa or less may be ignored. 

According to the requirements of the Rajasthan Government Services General Provident Fund Regulations, 2021, the amount of the Dearness Allowance Increase for the period from 01-01-2023 to 31-03-2023 should be credited to the GPF Account under:

• For the employees recruited before 1-1-2024-GPF Account.
• For the employees who were recruited on or after 1-1-2024-GPF-2004.
• For the employees of Autonomous Bodies/PSUs/Boards/Corporations etc-GPF-SAB.

Starting on 01-05- 2023, cash payments will be accepted; for instance, the salary for the month of April 2023 will be payable on May 1. DA at revised rates as above would also be admissible to work charged employees as work-charged employees have been taken into respective department service rules vide order no F.14(4)FD(Rules)/2006 Part dated 13-03-2023.
