The Chetak Express faced an unexpected halt shortly after departing from Udaipur city railway station on September 11,2024. The train, which left at 5:00 PM, was suddenly stopped when a passenger pulled the emergency chain. It was discovered that the passenger had pulled the chain because some of his family members, including an elderly couple, two children, and two adults, were left behind on the platform.

Railway officials, RPF personnel, and staff rushed to the scene as the train came to an abrupt halt on the platform. The sudden chain-pulling caused the train's pressure to drop, bringing it to an immediate stop. Passengers inside were surprised by the incident, but after a brief investigation, railway officials identified the passenger responsible.

The train was delayed by 6 to 7 minutes due to the incident. A report regarding the chain-pulling was expected to be filed by the guard at Mavli station.
