A neonate was stolen from ward number 1 of Panna Dhai maternity hospital. The infant stolen from immunisation ward was born merely 13 hours back. The news of an infant being stolen from hospital caused a lot of commotion. Hathipole police reached Panna Dhai hospital and started their investigations. CCTV footages are being checked.

As per CCTV footage a woman has been spotted who was admitted in the ward on fake grounds. This woman could be the one who took the infant away. Prior to this incident, a beggar woman had kidnapped a little girl playing near the child ward in hospital. She was recovered from this beggar woman the next day at Fatehpura.

There is quite a possibility of child trafficking racket being active in Udaipur city. An appeal is made to keep hawk’s eye on your child’s whereabouts and beware of ladies who pretend to be care takers. Do not appoint anyone without police verification. In case of new-borns, make sure that every suspicious character is reported and does not go unnoticed. These are just a few alert points to stay safe.
