New Traffic Rules 2025

Udaipur, March 11, 2025 - India is highly prone to road accidents due to factors like high vehicle density, poor road infrastructure, traffic rule violations, and inadequate enforcement of safety measures. The country witnesses one of the highest numbers of road fatalities globally, with speeding, reckless driving, and lack of proper pedestrian facilities contributing to the crisis.

Overcrowded roads, poorly maintained vehicles, and a lack of awareness about traffic rules further increase accident risks. Additionally, issues like drunk driving, underage driving, and inadequate emergency response services make road travel in India even more dangerous.India has introduced new traffic rules and increased fines for violations to improve road safety. The new penalties, effective from March 1, 2025, aim to reduce accidents caused by reckless driving, speeding, and other traffic violations.

Heavier Fines for Common Traffic Violations
