-Fire-works pollute the whole atmosphere.

-Bursting crackers can shoo away the migratory birds and also kill them.

The Lake Development Authority has appealed to the administration to prohibit use of fireworks as part of New Year celebrations near lakes and the gardens specifically Gulab Bagh. Every year fireworks are used on the New Year Eve at midnight and the pollution caused by these causes a lot of damage to the environment.

In the written appeal, the Lake Development Authority representative has requested Udaipur Collector to not permit bursting of fireworks near the lakes and Gulab Bagh specifying that the crackers can pollute lakes and disturb the migratory birds and shoo them away. It may be noted that every year migratory birds come to Udaipur and are a source of attraction for a lot of tourists and the bird lovers of Udaipur city.

The birds rest in the trees at night and the sounds can be very disturbing for them. Even the lake sides where parties are held are at risk as the crackers fall in the lakes and harm the creatures in the water, polluting the waters as well.

No hotel or individual must be allowed to use firecrackers at lake sides or near the prominent gardens of the city. The water creatures and birds have been widely affected in the past and this is one of the main concerns of the environment lovers.
