The Padma Shri Award winners, the Hussain brothers namely Ustad Mohammad Hussain and Ustad Ahmed Hussain are receiving a huge amount of love. The two well-known brothers, who are both heirs to and creators of a strong Hindustani classical music tradition, claim that their single unfulfilled dream is to create a music academy in Jaipur.

The two brothers are singers of the well-known ghazal "Main hawa hoon kahan watan mera" as well as several bhajans, qawalis and sabad kertans.

The two brothers wish to fulfill their unfulfilled goal of opening a music academy in Jaipur after receiving the Padma Shri award and all the accolades from both within and outside of the nation. In order to carry on their tradition, they wish to mentor young vocalists. They pleaded with the state government to assist them in establishing the institution.

“Allah has blessed us, and we could do whatever we were comfortable doing. We are not the ones who will make the rounds of music producers in Mumbai and butter them to get music albums. Thankfully we could do things the way we wanted.” - Mohmmad Hussain
