There has been news about some star category hotels offering vaccination packages to the public. As per the package, one of the hotels was offering a comfortable stay, vaccination by experts from renowned hospitals, a healthy breakfast and dinner and a lot of other facilities at a package of 2999/-.

The Union Health Ministry made it clear that no hotels have been allowed to offer such packages and if they are doing so, it is against the law. This must immediately be stopped else strict action would be taken in this direction.

It has been made clear by the centre that here are 4 options available for vaccinations which are government centres, private hospitals, government and private offices and “bear to home” centres for elderly and the disabled. If anyone provides vaccination apart from the above mentioned centres, this is contrary to the guidelines and necessary legal action shall be taken against them.

All states and UTs have been instructed to keep a check on this issue and ensure that strict action is taken if this is not stopped immediately.
