If you come across an unclean toilet in RNT Medical College’s government hospitals within the premises, there is now an option to immediately complaint the hospital department. Simply scan the QR code at the toilet gate and upload a photo of the issue. Within 30 minutes the toilet will be cleaned. When uploading a photo of the toilet, an alarm will ring in the control room of the RNT Super Speciality Unit.
The in-charge, supervisor and three others will be notified via an auto-mail. Throughout the cleaning process, the complaint will be documented. Only upon uploading a photo of the now-clean toilet will the complaint be considered resolved.
A thank you message will be sent to the person who filed the complaint once the issue is successfully addressed. This streamlined process ensures a prompt response to sanitation concerns within the hospital premises.
In this system, every toilet on each floor of the hospital has been assigned a code. When scanned, the supervisor receives notification about the specific floor. They have a half-hour time to address each complaint. If the resolution takes more time, a 'Don't Use' sign must be placed outside the affected toilet. After cleaning, a photo of the area should be taken to the control room. Once the clean photo is uploaded, the complaint is marked as resolved.
The system was first introduced as a trial project by RNT in the Super Specialty and Cardiology departments. It started as "My Hospital, My Responsibility" initiative in government hospitals, making it the first of its kind in the entire state.
