Rajasthan: Dams and Reservoirs Receive 28% More Water Than Last Year

This year, the monsoon has been generous to Rajasthan, filling 57% of the state's dams and reservoirs. This marks a 28% increase in water compared to last year. Tonk district saw the highest replenishment, with its water sources reaching 100% capacity. However, 11 districts are yet to see any of their water sources completely filled.

Udaipur Zone Sees Growth

Udaipur zone has also benefited, with 70% of water now available in 178 water sources, compared to 55% last year. The region has shown steady improvement in water levels this monsoon.

Jaipur Zone Sees Significant Increase

In the Jaipur zone, 82.12% of water has been received in 252 water sources. Last year, this figure was much lower at 50.78%. The region has seen a significant rise in water availability this year. 

Improved Water Levels in Jodhpur

Jodhpur zone has also seen an increase, with 73% of water received in 117 water sources, compared to 68% last year. This rise reflects the positive impact of the monsoon on the region.

Kota Zone Experiences Highest Rise

In the Kota zone, 90% water has reached 8 water sources. Last year, only 69% water was available, showing a substantial improvement.

Banswara Zone Close to Full Capacity

In Banswara zone, 96% of water has been received in 63 water sources, up from 86% last year. The region is close to full water capacity.
