In a significant move towards digital governance, the Rajasthan government has directed all departments, government undertakings, corporations, and universities to integrate their public-related services with the e-Mitra platform. Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant issued a directive to streamline public services and reduce the need for physical visits to government offices.

Currently, over 500 flagship schemes and public-related tasks, including bill payments, social security pensions, and certificate applications, are accessible through e-Mitra. This expansion aims to encompass all public-facing services, from university admissions to municipal transactions, under one digital umbrella.

The initiative extends to universities and affiliated colleges, with instructions to conduct online admissions and student-related tasks through e-Mitra. Registrars of all universities have been urged to facilitate this transition, aiming to minimize physical visits for students and applicants.

Urban local bodies and development authorities, often hubs of public transactions, are also targeted for digital integration. Tasks like community center bookings, registration certificates, and property transfers will soon be accessible through e-Mitra, easing the burden on citizens and reducing administrative foot traffic.

Commissioner Indrajeet Singh of the Department of Information Technology highlighted the government's broader vision of eliminating the need for physical visits to government offices altogether. With over 80,000 e-Mitra kiosks operational statewide, the platform aims to streamline over 600 services, including national-level schemes, for public convenience.
