 It is important to keep the Original Purchase Invoice or the Mobile and IMEI handy while registering on the CEIR portal

C-DOT (Centre for Development of Telematics has launched the  Central Encrypted Identity Register (CEIR), a new system to assist in recovering lost or stolen mobile phones.

Using the CEIR, anyone can block or identify the location of their lost or stolen mobile phones. Once registered on the CEIR, it will not be easy for anyone to use a stolen mobile phone or a mobile phone that belongs to someone else once the original owner Blocks the mobile.

What does CEIR do?

CEIR is a citizen portal that has been created to block your  lost / stolen mobile and also unblock the mobile once it is recovered. If someone attempts to use a blocked lost or stolen mobile phone, his/her location can be traced in real time. The original user can also unblock the mobile once it is recovered.

Follow these steps to Block your lost / stolen Mobile:

(it is important to keep the original Purchase Invoice of the  mobile as well as its IMEI number)

  • Lodge a Missing/Stolen Mobile report at your nearest / appllicable Police Station.
  • Missing Mobile report can also be registered online at  https://www.police.rajasthan.gov.in
  • After lodging the report, get a new SIM from your Mobile Service provider and wait for the OTP services to be activated (wait time 24 hrs).
  • Then register your Lost Mobile Report  along with the Police Complain details on https://www.ceir.gov.in (Select Block Mobile).

How to use CEIR Block and Unblock Lost or Stolen Mobile using Police Online Services

  • Once the form is filled, upload a copy of the Police Complain on the portal.
  • The moment the lost mobile is operated, the complainant will receive a Message.
  • One receiving the message, contact the relevant Police station and the Police will begin tracing your mobile and recover it from the given location.
  • Once the lost mobile is recovered, the same Portal can be used to unblock the Mobile.

03. खोये हुये मोबाइल नंबर की नई सिम मोबाइल सेवा प्रदाता कंपनी से प्राप्त करें और ओटीपी सुविधा प्रारंभ होने तक 24 घंटे इंतजार करें । 04. CEIR (https://www.ceir.gov.in) के होमपेज पर जाकर Block Stolen / Lost Mobile का चयन करें। 05. मोबाइल ब्लॉक फॉर्म step by step fill भरें | 06. मिसिंग रिपोर्ट जो आपने पुलिस थाने या पुलिस वेब पोर्टल पर दर्ज की है, उसकी प्रति अपलोड करें। 07. जैसे ही खोये / चोरी मोबाइल फोन उपकरण में नया मोबाइल नंबर एक्टिव होगा, तो तुरंत आपको अलर्ट मैसेज प्राप्त होगा। 08. मैसेज प्राप्त होने पर संबंधित थाने से संपर्क कर अपने मोबाइल की तलाश करवाकर प्राप्त करें। 09. खोया हुआ मोबाइल मिलने पर CEIR के होमपेज पर जाकर Un - Block Found Mobile का चयन करें और मोबाइल को Un-Block कर काम में लेवें ।
