RNT Udaipur: Resident Doctors Protest Over Salary Delays

Doctors feel delay in salary payments is discriminatory

Udaipur Resident Doctors Strike

Resident doctors at RNT Medical College planned a strike on June 6 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM due to irregular salary payments over the past year. They are frustrated by three months of unpaid salaries.

Typically, salaries in Rajasthan are paid on the first of every month. However, the college administration often pays between the 15th and 20th of the month. This inconsistency causes financial strain, especially with rising living costs.

The Udaipur Resident Doctors Association has complained to MB Hospital Superintendent R.L. Suman about the payment delays. Despite promises of a quick fix, the resident doctors are unhappy with the ongoing issue.

The delay in salary disbursement has left many resident doctors grappling with financial challenges, resorting to managing loans to meet their expenses. Repaying installments has become increasingly burdensome, with some individuals compelled to take out additional loans to cover existing debts

They work long hours providing medical services, yet their salaries are not paid on time. Despite informing the principal and controller multiple times, the issue remains unresolved, increasing their frustration.
