Salma Afreen Hussain of Maharana Mewar Public School, Udaipur scored 94% in the Class 10 Board exams this year. Salma is the daughter of Afsar Hussain and Dr. Shahida Jaipuri. The much awaited Board results 2023 were announced on Friday, 12 May. The CBSE X Board Examination were held in months of February and March.
Salma Afreen said that she was nervous before the results and was not expecting such high scores.
“I was elated to get the news of the result being out. It was long-awaited. There were rumours about the result but nothing authentic. On the morning of 12 May, I woke up and read the headline of the Class 12th result being released. That’s when I was tense and I was on my phone having a discussion with a few close friends when another notification popped up and that was when my hands started to shake. With God’s grace as soon as I saw my result I was elated. I hadn’t expected a result as such because the Maths paper was comparatively difficult.” - Salma Afreen
Salma Afreen’s aims are as bright as her scores. She is planning to give the UPSC exam after school. She says that her class 10th journey ended with euphoria.
“There were people who told me that it’s gonna be difficult but some told me it’s easy as pie! But I conclude it's both! Keeping the marks aside, the lessons I learnt and the experience it gave me is definitely going to help me in the future. I am sure to make mistakes I made this year which may have at some point been a setback to my preparation! I'd like to thank my parents who at all times were by my side. My mother always told me to never take the burden of anyone's expectations and always do my best! My father was the happiest when he saw the result! I also express my heartfelt gratitude to the help offered by my teachers. I also thank my God for helping me throughout the journey.” - Salma Afreen
