Tree Ambulance service in Udaipur

A unique service has started in Udaipur to protect the biodiversity of the city. ‘Tree Ambulance’ service has planted more than 5,000 trees in the city. The initiative has been started by Namokar Seva Sanstha. This campaign was started five years ago by Mukesh Jain with 35 members and has now turned into a family of 750 members. These members take care of all the trees planted across the city by giving them water and rescuing the dying trees.

Namokar Seva Sanstha’s president Mukesh Jain said that ‘Tree Ambulance’ is a customized vehicle equipped with all the necessary arrangements like insecticides, water tanks and machines to drill holes to protect a dying tree.

Six people group board the vehicle which reaches the spot after getting information regarding a plant in need or rescue. A complete schedule has been done under which the volunteers of the organization operate in which five days are for plantation and two days are for taking care of the trees.
