Udaipur is gearing up for Diwali with plans for electric decorations and improved traffic management. District Collector Arvind Poswal's initiative from last year has received praise from all members, urging the continuation of this effort.

In response, the District Collector assured that this year will see innovative and attractive electric decorations throughout the city. Key areas like main roads, tourist spots, and historical sites will be beautifully adorned.

Traffic Management

During Diwali, Udaipur experiences a significant increase in tourism. Collector Poswal emphasized the need for special efforts in traffic management during this peak season. He highlighted the importance of planning for effective traffic control.

Traffic In-charge Netrapal Singh reported that approximately 15,000 to 20,000 additional vehicles are expected to arrive in the city during this time. To manage the increased traffic, additional personnel will be required.

The District Collector discussed these matters with the Superintendent of Police to ensure proper arrangements. He also instructed the effective use of paid parking facilities in the city, including the parking area at Moti Dungri and other locations.
