This year Mewar Festival will be hosted by Udaipur from March 24 to 26, 2023. Mewar Festival is one of the famous events that features on Rajasthan’s cultural calendar. One can visit Mewar this time and can experience the rich cultural, historical and religious heritage of the region. 

To mark the beginning of spring this festival is usually held in the month of March and April every year. People do rituals like making rangolis and wearing colorful outfits. 

During this festival, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are worshipped and women get ready in colorful attires and deck up the images or idols of the deities. The festival starts with collecting ashes from the Holika Dahan fire.

Many cultural activities like folk dance such as Kalbeliya and Ghoomar are held. Also many artists sing traditional songs and markets are decorated. This festival attracts many people across the globe and took part in this vibrant festival.
