While we were keeping our fingers crossed over the last 10 days, Udaipur reported its first Coronavirus Positive case today.
A 15 year old boy, who had returned from Indore and kept under Home Quarantine, was found to be positive. The family of 12 had returned from Indore 10 days back and were under home quarantine since then. Collector Anandi has confirmed that the boy, who studies in Indore, had returned from Indore on 20 March and the entire family was under quarantine since March 21.
As per available reports, the family has been taken into isolation at the COVID19 centre in MB Hospital's Super Specialty cell, the boy is under isolation at the satellite hospital in Ambamata.
Reports have been confirmed by the Collectors Office. This news was initially shared by doctors among their family members and among news reporters.
The boys sister is a Doctor in China and had returend a month back. She was tested negative. The boys father is a Doctor and aunt is a senior nurse in the Swine Flu department at MB Hospital. Administration is taking all steps to seal off the area. There will be immediate contact tracing even when the boy was under Home Quarantine. Reports have emerged from neighbors that the boy was seen around the area. Residents will NOT BE ALLOWED To exit from their homes.
Live reports indicate that the entire Mulla Talai area is being sealed. Multiple Police teams, administrative staff in Hazmat Suits and doctor teams with ambulances are seen plying in the area.
