In a significant development, the Directorate of Training is poised to launch a groundbreaking initiative aimed at equipping students with the skills necessary to secure gainful employment. Approximately one month ago, the Directorate submitted a comprehensive project proposal for Skill Training to the government, and today, the government has given its official nod of approval to this transformative project.

The initiative, which has garnered widespread attention and support within the education and employment sectors, comes at a crucial juncture when youth unemployment remains a pressing concern. With the government's backing, the Directorate of Training is set to take a pivotal role in addressing this issue by providing students with the tools they need to succeed in the job market.

Virendra Singh Yadav, the Additional District Project Coordinator of the Education Department, has announced that the Training Directorate will allocate Rs. 38.50 crore rupees for this project, sourced from the Youth Development and Welfare Fund.

Details about the project's specifics, including the range of skills to be taught, the target demographic, and the rollout plan, are yet to be unveiled. However, sources close to the Directorate have hinted at a comprehensive curriculum that will encompass a wide array of vocational and soft skills.

The selection process for non-student beneficiaries has commenced. This project aims to select 165,000 students from across the state, with 1,000 students from Udaipur benefiting. Virendra Singh Yadav, the Additional District Project Coordinator (ADPC) of the Education Department, stated that the project will include the selection of 45,000 students from classes 11-12 statewide and 1,20,000 students from degree colleges. The exact start date of the project remains unclear, but the process of selecting students will begin soon. It is worth noting that this project will prioritize economically disadvantaged and high-achieving students.

Focus will be on personality development

The training will cover proper conduct during job interviews, teaching students essential interview etiquette. It will highlight specific aspects to focus on when applying for a job. Students will learn effective techniques for showcasing their strengths in front of others. Strategies for managing negative feedback or responses during interviews will be addressed in the training.
