In a significant move aimed at bolstering the development of Udaipur district, Diya Kumari, the Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister of Rajasthan, unveiled the interim budget in the Legislative Assembly. The budget notably included introduction of pollution-free transportation with the implementation of electric buses in key cities, including Udaipur.

The Finance Minister highlighted the promotion of pollution-free transportation as a key focus, announcing the introduction of 500 electric buses in cities such as Udaipur, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Kota. This initiative aims to not only enhance public transit but also contribute to environmental sustainability.

During her budget presentation, Diya Kumari expressed dissatisfaction with the previous government's lack of initiatives for several neglected regions, including Gogunda in Udaipur. In response, she announced a substantial provision of Rs 1,000 Crore for the establishment and enhancement of hospitals, colleges and schools in these areas, addressing long standing gaps in infrastructure.

The commitment to cleaner and more sustainable transportation through the introduction of electric buses marks a significant stride towards modernizing public transit in key cities, ensuring a greener and healthier future for the residents of Udaipur and beyond.
