500 Turban

The whole country is enthusiastic about the ceremony for Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024. After many years, Lord Shri Ram will be placed in the temple. Contributions for Lord Ram are coming from all over, even from abroad. As part of this, 500 special turbans from Udaipur will be sent. What's unique about these turbans is that they are made by women, and each one has "Jai Shri Ram" written by hand.

These women created 500 turbans in just 7 days. The team of women includes Reena Kothari, Dhapu Salvi, Sushila Salvi, Prem Salvi, Neelu Suthar, Khushbu Salvi, Sapna, Durga, Priya, Laxmi, Maya Mali and others. The turbans will be sent to Ayodhya within 2 to 3 days.

Turban artists from the city, Jayant and Jinesh Kothari, shared that turbans made in Mewar will be sent to the city of Lord Ram, Ayodhya. This is something to be very proud of. What adds to its significance is that female artisans are playing a part in this religious effort.
