Avinash Nigam: Bird Whisperer of Udaipur

Avinash Nigam: Bird Whisperer of Udaipur

“My mother, Late Sushila Devi, was a part of my inspiration in working for saving birds. She used to travel long distances to feed birds and her care and love towards nature was inexpressible in words,” he added.

Avinash Nigam: Bird Whisperer of Udaipur It is the birds that wake us up each morning to another vibrant day, filling our lives with renounced hopes, joy and passion with their enthusiasm disposition. Some also say that it is the bird is man’s best friend. And though a world without our feathered friends seems impossible to imagine, the state of these creatures is passing through an unfortunate phase – one that is marked by the confinement of greenery to a handful of places as a major part of the land has been converted into what some may refer to as a concrete jungle. In such a scenario, a 54-year-old Avinash Nigam is providing bird-shelters under the banner “Swadesh Seva Sansthan”, an NGO registered in 2011 and was initiated by Sushila Devi, mother of Avinash. When asked about the motto behind his service to the almost forgotten part of nature, Avinash Nigam said “It’s easy to earn money, now let’s earn happiness,” a phrase that has become the basic punch line of his organization.
