The classical artists of Udaipur Kathak Ashram achieved success yet again at national level and will move ahead to participate in the International Dance Competition in Thailand.

The classical artists of Udaipur Kathak Ashram achieved success yet again at national level and will move ahead to participate in the International Dance Competition in Thailand.

The event organized by Akhil Bhartiya Sanskratik Sangh, Pune was held from 21st May till 1st June in which the dancers from Kathak Ashram participated and won in several categories.

The winners in Kathak Minor Group were Mahi Dungarwal, Niyati Vyas, Manya Mundra, Varni Gaur, Shriya Rao, Tenzil Nagda, Himshikha Potliya and Manasvi Bachiwal. The winners of Kathak Junior Group were Shreya Mehta, Kanchi Bansal, Mehak Patel, Ishika Choudhary, Yasha Mandawat, Shreshtha Maheshwari, Ishita Jain, Khushi Duggar, Ananya Bachiwala and Dhruti Vyas

In the Kathak Dance (solo senior) category Nimisha Bhati and in Modern Dance (solo) Vishal Choudhary won the first prize. Also, Varushi won the third prize in Kathak solo dance.

All these artists will be participating at the International Dance Competition ‘Global Harmony-2015’ in Thailand from 25th December 2015 to 31st December 2015.

The artists were accompanied by Narayan Gandharva on Tabla and Dinesh Verma on Harmonium. The information was provided by Kathak Ashram’s director Chandrakala Chowdhary.
