Bharat Verma, one of Udaipur’s well-known dance choreographers, will be travelling to the United States of America in order to take part in the Dance and Music Festival slated to begin from 20th July.

Bharat has been invited to the even by Vanaver Caravan, a dance group which has also conducted dance workshops in Udaipur in the recent past.

When asked about his plans, Bharat Verma said that he will be staying for 40 days during which time, he will conduct dance workshops and focus on Bollywood as well as Rajasthani styled dance.

“I am very excited and happy that after struggling for 12 years, I finally have an opportunity to receive an international platform to perform and teach. I will try to give my hundred percent,” exclaimed Verma. His assistant Kishanlal will be accompanying him on the trip.

The Vanaver Caravan is a renowned New York-based world dance company that has toured and taught internationally for the last decade and won countless awards. Members have mastered folk dances from many cultures, but none had ever witnessed the grace and power of Rajasthan’s folk traditions before their visit to the state in 2012.
