Udaipur’s well known and highly talented photo journalist, Tarachand Gavaria, has now achieved international recognition, after his talent was recognized amidst global photography professionals.
As per information received in the media circles, INTERPHOTO Magazine, based out of Italy, has published a photo taken by Tarachand in their Autumn edition for 2017. The magazine, which is a photographers paradise, selects 72 photos globally for each of their editions, and based on the likes and viral metric publishes those in their magazine. This years autumn edition has a photo by Tarachand, which he took while visiting Galtaji Temple in Jaipur earlier this year.
The incident occurred while a tourist was getting his camera in place to capture a photo a monkey. The curious monkey, opted to venture near where the camera was placed and glanced into the lens of the camera. Tarachand captured this moment on his camera and published it online. Immediately, the photo went viral across social media and garnered millions of likes in a matter of days.
Based on the popularity of the photo, this moment was selected by Interphoto and published among 72 of the world’s best photographs.
International fame has been wanting for Tarachand, who has already made a name for himself in the region and country. Recently, in an online photo competition, Tarachand received a National award. Similarly ,at an earlier date, Tarachand got home the first prize of Rs. 1 Lakh when he submitted his photos on Simhasta Kumbh at a photo competition organized by Ravatpura Government Trust.
Media personnel, forums and journalism associations across the state and country have appreciated Tarachand’s contribution to photo journalism and congratulated him on his latest achievement.
