Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Rajasthan in April. This will be his fourth visit to Rajasthan in less than a year. It is speculated that PM Modi may be visiting Udaipur or Ajmer this time around.
BJP State President Ashok Parmani told a media group that PM will launch programmes organized by the union government. He however said that they have not received the PM’s schedule from the party office.
Modi’s visit in assembly election year is clearly expected to have political undertones and would be taken as an opportunity to woo voters.
As per a senior official, Modi may visit Udaipur or Ajmer. “Udaipur Smart City Limited has completed the tender process for development works worth Rs 500 crore. Foundation stone is likely to be laid next month. Therefore, it is speculated that Modi may come to Udaipur for this. Moreover, his presence in Udaipur would have ripple effect in the neighbouring Gujarat,” said the official.
Alternatively, Modi may land at Ajmer where development work of Rs 1,200 crore is planned under National Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY).
