A high profile drama was seen at the congress office today as the District Congress President, Nilima Sukhadiya reached the office with some of her supporters, including Ex-MLA, Trilok Purbia; State Representative, Gopal Sharma, Ganesh Rajora and some other members.

The doors of the Congress Office were closed and the keys were with the dissatisfied, suspended, opposition members of the congress party. “These members are not in favour of DCC President and claimed that, the DCC President is trying to open the doors forcefully and has also called the police to arrest them”, told a Kamal Nayan Khandelwal, from the opposing group.

Situation turned worse, when there was a scuffle between Ex-MLA Trilok Purbiya and Sharafat Khan (Sadar of Anjuman Talim ul Islam). Sharafat Khan said that we won’t give the keys as this office is not a private property of any person, at this Purbiya and his supporters got angry and pushed and scuffled with each other.

Meanwhile, some of Nilima’s supporters tried to break the lock but were unsuccessful.

Kamal Nayan Khandelwal and Sharafat Khan, with their supporters, tried to stop them but both the parties were obstinate on their egos.

After long agitation, Sharafat Khan came with the keys and opened the doors, and Nilima’s supporters rushed into the office.

The opposing party remained outside the office and alleged that, Nilima Sukhadiya and her supporters are doing things according to their own will and not according to the party’s will.

Nilima Sukhadiya and her supporters, taking a U turn gave the keys to Pramod Chaparwal, owner of rented building, which was in possession of Congress party since 1998.

Owner took the possession and put his locks on the office. Chaparwal said, “This building was given to the party by my father Nanalal Chaparwal to Trilok Purbiya to use it as an election office since then this building is being used by the Congress party for its work”.

Some of the opposing members, on condition of anonymity, alleged that, the other party has taken money from the owner of the rented building to close the office permanently.

After this clash Nilima will run the office from her house.

Udaipur Congress is becoming a laughing stock more or less, as they have already lost a permanent councilor’s seat and now they are quarreling on petty issues.
