Sachin Pilot, Congress In-Charge of Chhatisgarh and former Dy Chief Minister of Rajasthan addressed media at Circuit House on 20 Jan while he was on a two day visit to Udaipur.

Responding to questions from the media, Pilot said that the Bhartiya Janta Party do not have any great leaders from the pre-independence era among them, so they are using the names of legendary leaders like Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Subhash Chandra Bose to fill in the void. He also added that a person like Rahul Gandhi, who is leading the Congress, will never be subdued by fear or or negative publicity and will continue to raise his voice for the betterment of the people.

On being asked about the defeat of BJP's Surendra Pal Singh Titi who was made a Minister in the Bhajan Lal cabinet even before he had won the election, Pilot quipped that Surender Pal's name will go down in history as the first "Agniveer" of the country.

"BJP government is responsible for the increasing inflation in the country and in a bid to hide their mistakes BJP leaders are trying to mislead the people by blaming the Congress party"

While talking about the new BJP led state government at Rajasthan, Pilot said that this is the just a beginning of the government formed on the basis of chits, but the way in which it is working is not correct.

When questioned about being appointed as the in charge of Chattisgarh he replied "Mo tahru se Door Koni" (i am not far away from you).  He said that he will willingly accept all responsibilities given to him by the Congress and fulfill it with loyalty.

On being asked about his altercations with the former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Pilot said that he had always raised the issues of the people, especialy those to do with youth, like unemployment, paper leaks, etc and the higher levels at the Congress also took cogniscance of this. While some action was taken to resolve few matters, not all could be resolved.  He also said that during the entire course of events, he had never used unparliamentary language and also advised that one should not use unparliamentary language.

Pilot appreciated the appointment of Tikaram Juli's appointment as Leader of Opposition said that it is a good sign that the party is giving chance to new people. He said that it is for the first time party's National President and Rajasthan's Leader of Opposition both belongs to Dalits section.

Sachin Pilot had earlier accused the BJP government for politicising the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony to be held on 22nd January. He said that Ram Lalla belongs to everyone but BJP is trying to make a monopoly out of it, which is very unfortunate. He added that it is not for the leader of the country to visit places and get pictures clicked or spend his time in inaugurations, and he should rather work on addressing the issues that the people who have voted for him are facing.

By reacting on Pilots blames the newly elected MLA Udaipur City Tarachand Jain said "Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel was a politician of immense stature. He had played a vital role in bringing together more than 500 regions and he holds the same position in Indian Politics as was the position of the ex-Prime Minister of the country Jawahar Lal Nehru. The Congress never understood that and PM Modi has taken the chance to honor him. He added that the Congress has nothing left to do. The BJP has begun implementing schemes, which the Congress only could announce when it was in power. Tarachand Jain also said that the Chiranjivi Scheme was never implemented, only announced. The Congress also announced to provide LPG cylinders for ₹ 500 but no body actually received it on that price but the BJP has started providing it for Rs. 450 as promised to the people."

Replying on Pilots blame of BJP's politicising of Pran Pratishtha ceremony, Jain said that Congress is such a party that had refused the existence of Ram Lalla and also presented an Affidavit to support this claim, so how can the party be happy with the ceremony. Moreover Congress is apposing the BJP for taking the credit in that as it has a fear of losing the vote bank of a particular community.
