The railway line between Udaipur station and Pratapnagar station will stay closed on Thursday night. This is on account of the work on Railway Under Bridge (RUB) being carried out at Kumharon ka Bhatta.
Mukesh Srivastava, Regional Officer at Udaipur City Railway station informed that as part of the RUB work at Kumharon ka Bhatta large blocks are to be placed. To facilitate this, the railway line between Udaipur railway station and Pratapnagar railway station will be blocked from Thursday night 10:30pm till Friday morning 6 am.
As a result of this blockage, train arriving from Ratlam to Udaipur (Train no: 19327) at 11:58 pm will now be halted at Pratapnagar station at 11:45pm. The train leaving from Udaipur station for Ratlam at 1:25 am will now depart directly from Pratapnagar station at 1:15 am.
It may be noted that a very old RUB is in place at Kumharo ka Bhatta currently. There has been an increased traffic in this area over past few years. The new RUB is likely to reduce the resulting traffic congestion. UIT has provided Rs 50Lakh to Railways towards 50% of the overall expense.
