Sarod maestros, Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan, the sons of legendary Amjad Ali Khan, will be performing in Udaipur on Nov 14th, 2016. The performance will take place at Shilpgram from 7 pm onwards.
The performance is being organised by Pandit Chaturlal Memorial Society, New Delhi in association with Vedanta Hindustan Zinc Limited. A cultural night has been organised in memory of Pandit Chaturlal. The programme under the name of “Smritiyaan” was first organised in 2011 on the occasion of Pandit Chaturlal’s 85 anniversary and the tradition has continued since.
Pt. Ronu Majumdar, noted Indian flute (Bansoori) artist, known for popularising flute amongst the younger generation will also be performing on the occasion.
Fateh Singh-Gangani, a renowned Pakhawaj artist, an Indian barrel-shaped two-headed drum and an exponent of the table will be adding the percussion taste during the event.
Finally, George Brooks well known for mixing the worlds of jazz and Indian classical music will be playing his part in entertaining the audience.
