Inter District Badminton Championship to start from 14 Dec

Udaipur’s Luv Kush Stadium will host the four day Rajasthan Senior Inter-District Open Veteran Badminton Championships from 14th December. Around 100 badminton players from 13 districts of Rajasthan are expected to take part in this annual tournament and the winning senior and veteran teams will represent Rajasthan in the National Championships.

Udaipur’s Luv Kush Stadium will host the four day Rajasthan Senior Inter-District Open Veteran Badminton Championships from 14th December.

Around 100 badminton players from 13 districts of Rajasthan are expected to take part in this annual tournament and the winning senior and veteran teams will represent Rajasthan in the National Championships.

The first day of event, beginning at 10am will be the Qualifying Rounds in which the players for the elimination rounds will be selected. Open, Inter-district and finals will take place over the next three days.

Sudhir Baxi, Secretary, Udaipur Badminton Association and President, Rajasthan Badminton Association informed, “every year 4 district level competitions are conducted by the Rajasthan Badminton Association, viz. Sub Junior, Junior, Senior and Veteran. This is the last event of the year and the teams selected from here will play at the National level.”

Travelling Allowance (TA) & Dearness Allowance (DA) are being provided to the players from the Rajasthan State Sports Council and the accommodation facilities are arranged at Hotel Raj Inn and Hotel Saheli Palace by the Udaipur Badminton Association.

The Luv Kush Stadium, which was closed for renovation, will be hosting its first tournament after three years. After the closing ceremony of this tournament on 18th December, the stadium will be open for use.
