Gayatri Seva Sansthan, Udaipur and Development Alternatives commenced the ‘Tara Akshar Plus’ program in district’s tribal majority areas to help provide training to women through laptops and innovative visual effect mediums at the Tara Akshar Centers.
Additional Director of Gayatri Seva Sansthan Shailendra Pandya informed that the first phase has started with 18 villages of Sarada Panchayat Samiti where almost 245 women have been registered. After the results of the program, it will be carried forward to other villages.
Development Alternatives’ representative and consultant of Tara Akshar Plus program Tejasvari Sara monitored the centers at Thana, Pahadi and Padarda villages and informed that from September 2015 onward, children will also be given education.
Project Coordinator Praveen Kumar Paneri said that there is a good response from women towards the program who are attending training sessions on time with enthusiasm. Not only is this program helping these women with education but also aiming to hike their self-confidence.
